ZQ: PodHunt (Day 6)

by Louis Tur

Yesterday was day 6, actually.

Though, not much in the way of PodHunt got done. Not that the intention wasn't there, but rather the set up of this shiney new blog took precendent. And more specifically, setting up the syntax highlighting to be exactly the way I wanted it. It took some blog scouring, but I eventually came across the right combination of resources and frustration to get my code blocks to look exactly like it would in Xcode. And VoilĂ :

    [_rootTable setBackgroundColor:[UIColor eggShellWhite]];
    [_rootTable setContentOffset:CGPointMake(0.0, -100)];
    [_rootTable setContentInset:UIEdgeInsetsMake(100, 0, 0, 0)];

    [_fancyView setTranslatesAutoresizingMaskIntoConstraints:NO];
    NSArray * fancyViewConstraints = @[ [NSLayoutConstraint constraintsWithVisualFormat:@"H:|[_fancyView]|"
                                        [NSLayoutConstraint constraintsWithVisualFormat:@"V:|[_fancyView(==100)]"
    for (NSArray * constraints in fancyViewConstraints) {
        [self.view addConstraints:constraints];
    UIImageView * cocoaPod = [[UIImageView alloc] initWithImage:[UIImage imageNamed:@"cocoabeen"]];
    [_fancyView addSubview:cocoaPod];

I did do some light work on the project, but it was mainly code cleaning, clarifications, and documentation.

Today is day 7, so I still have some time. I got some very helpful advice from my new Kickstarter-back project, Writer Emergency Pack in the form of an omnipotent Morgan Freedman

And what would he say to me? Well, that I'm way out of scope.

Basically I realized that despite returning to this project, I haven't actually accomplished the original goal of the project. So hopefull on my last day on it, I can have some semblence of my original intent :)

Louis Tur

"How" has been the single most used word in my literary arsenal for as long as I can remember. I've never really been satisfied knowing that something works, but only by knowing how it works.
